The Parish Nurse directs the ministry of health in the congregation. Parish nursing has become a dynamic international phenomenon as these health professionals have harnessed the potential of the congregation to attend to people’s health holistically.
Caring community programs are efforts that encourage members of the congregation to reach out to each other for support. The Parish Nurse is essential to Saron Lutheran Church because it reduces isolation, builds community, and develops the ministry skills of lay people.
