“I ‘decided”
to enter seminary the same way I would decide to exit a burning
building. In retrospect I was running hiding from God’s call to
be a Pastor. I thought he would want someone holier. But since
answering God’s call I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am
finally where God wants me. Since then I’ve bee blessed more
than I could have imagined or wanted.”
I hope We
serve God – today, tomorrow and the next and every day ‘til the
Last Day, I hope We stay together under the umbrella, I hope we
take care of our youth- teaching them doctrine and
instilling/nurturing/growing/planting a strong faith. I hope we
hold each other to our Confirmation Vows, I hope we are changing
the world, people- bringing Gods peace and power to bear in all
unrighteous places in the world. I hope our worship, in
whatever form, is true worship. I hope we remain standing on
word alone, faith alone, Christ alone. I hope we are preaching
and living the Gospel. I hope it comes up with shorter forms
and longer faith.
Why
he would like to come to Saron and Ashland:
He
has been ministering to three different congregations
for 12 years and feels it’s time for a change and can
put a lot more time and energy having only one church.
They would like to be closer to family, Mother lives in
Northern Minn. and a brother lives in Poplar. Ashland
has a great school system and can provide more
opportunities for the twins. He is ready for a new and
stimulating ministry.
